Deformation with mParticles in 3DS Max 2014

Sculpt that object to perfection!

Getting down with deformation isn’t hard, it just takes a lot of tweaking, tears and some more tweaking. This is perfect for those awesome car crashes… not the real ones. Having a lowpoly object that will get all the deformation and then apply it to your highpoly object will save you a lot of headache and simulation time so remember that if you have a highpoly object. A tutorial about tearing will come but why not try to make it yourself. It’s pretty much the setup we already created, some changes needs to be made in the particle skinner modifier.

Animators Toolkit

I really do recommend you checking out this fantastic plugin made by JokerMartini. You get loads of useful tools that will speed up your workflow and he also have tutorials about each tool inside of the Animators Toolkit. It’s $25 and there is also a free light version. But you know, if you want people to think you’re a pro you need to buy it 😉

  1. I am trying to create metal bending effect on some panel with a collision object. The problem i am getting is the particle Skinner. I can’t seem to select from particle event in the modifier.

    1. Never mind the objects have to be a editable poly.

      Any way thanks for the videos and yes a new introduction is in order.
